Aclima manufactures and distributes functional high quality wool garments all over the world. The Company was established in Drammen, Norway in 1939 by Eivind Johansen who came up with the idea to make soles from wool felt. Together with his wife he started the production of wool soles under the name Tuna Tekstil AS. In 1998, the brand changed its name to Aclima.

Over 80 years after the company was established, Aclima produces quality products in wool for the police, fire fighters and military forces, as well as adults and children. Aclima has a strong focus on sustainability and is a forward-thinking company that has won several awards their innovative products.

The company has production in Europe, most of which is produced at its own factory in Estonia. Aclima follows strict rules and guidelines when it comes to obtaining wool, and almost all wool is obtained from merino sheeps in New Zealand.
