Together with Safe at Sea, Equipnor AB in Sweden has developed two new watercraft for use on the toughest missions and under the most demanding conditions. Guard Runner QRW™ and SeaRanger QRW™ are both stable, fast crafts that can be easily maneuvered in all types of waters.

“The watercrafts are tested under the most extreme conditions, which makes them durable and ensures the best possible performance and stability,” says Lukas Brehm, Head of Sales at Safe at Sea.

Developed for the most demanding conditions

Safe at Sea offers design and drivetrain options based on Yamaha and Kawasaki 4-stroke engines, known to be the most reliable engine designs in the jet ski segment. All drivetrain options for the two platforms are built and tuned for optimized reliability and drivability intended for long-term professional use.

The watercraft are designed, built, tested, and approved to withstand abuse, wear and tear, and hostile environments. Both platforms are drop-tested from a height of 2.5 meters and developed to easily navigate difficult places such as narrow channels, rivers, shallow water, and for “brown water operations.”

Unlike other jet skis, both platforms have the advantage of cleaning the engine from the top. In an environment with seaweed, grass, and reeds from the bottom, it is time-saving and practical to be able to clean the engine without having to go into the water or take the boat ashore.

Withstands extensive abuse

On both the Guard Runner QRW™ and the SeaRanger QRW™, the hull and body are protected by a steel construction with polyurea coating and rubber padding that reduces noise and protects against rough ground. The reinforced hull can withstand contact with hard surfaces without being damaged.

Unique stability compared to other jet skis

The platforms are much more stable than normal jet skis and have been proven in tests to be very difficult to overturn. The unique stability makes it easy to change operators at the wheel, and the “nose dive” syndrome does not occur.

If you fall overboard, the engine will be reduced to idling speed and the boat will go into a circular motion, making it easy for the operator to get back on board.

Regardless of the type of mission and waters, the Guard Runner QRW™ and SeaRanger QRW™ are built to increase operational capability under the most demanding conditions, and always perform optimally when it really counts.

Guard Runner QRW™ – Fast and agile in all types of waters

The Guard Runner QRW™ is a fast, robust, and reliable watercraft that can be built on either a Yamaha or Kawasaki chassis. It has a reinforced hull coated with an extremely durable polyurea coating. The hull has a keel protector that can withstand extensive loads and hard beach landings.

The Guard Runner QRW™ is equipped with stability tubes surrounding the lower front and side areas of the vessel. This gives the platform good stability and handling performance in all environments, enabling it to work close to large ships (boarding) and in heavy seas.

  • Designed to carry 2 operators with light equipment.
  • Range: 100-120 NM
  • Unique stability – easy to switch to driving.

SeaRanger QRW™ – A Workhorse on the Water

The SeaRanger QRW™ is optimal for operations in varied waters, including shallow water, narrow channels, narrow passages, or open water with strong seas.

The SeaRanger QRW™ is built on a jet ski platform with a hull/tube integration console. The jet ski is highly capable and developed for fast and flexible transport of small units and equipment. The SeaRanger QRW™ has fast and stealthy movements that allow it to get into inaccessible paths of advancement as a normal jet ski.

The watercraft has a weapons platform where operators can attach and secure weapons. Additionally, there is a system for attaching weapons next to the pilot, which means that the weapon is locked in a simple system while driving.

  • Designed to carry 4 operators and a pilot, ideal for small units and equipment.
  • Range: 100-120 NM
  • Load capacity: 150 kg.
  • Enhanced capacity for both fast and discreet movement.

Built to the customer’s needs

All boats built by Safe at Sea are developed and adapted to the individual customer’s needs and types of missions. Both in terms of hull/stern extensions and chassis modifications together with electrical installations and drivetrain adaptations, as well as engine type, signature management, and camouflage.

Depending on the customer’s needs, the boats can be delivered alone or as complete systems with platforms for launching from vessels and docks, storage as well as a large selection of accessories and safety equipment for pilots and operators. Safe at Sea and Equipnor are closely associated with some of the most competent suppliers of premium tactical equipment in Europe and can supply complete pilot and operator equipment for maritime operations above and below the surface.

By adapting each boat to the individual customer’s unique needs, we not only ensure optimal operational capability but also increased safety and efficiency in all operations. Whatever the challenges, Guard Runner QRW™ and SeaRanger QRW™ are designed to deliver superior performance, stability, and reliability.
